The Story
New Balance injects the DNA of their signature 99X series into a brand new model, the 9060, that marries an early aughts aesthetic with modern technology. This 9060 "Grey Matter/Dragon Berry" constructs its upper from mint mesh with grey suede and pink leather layered on top in a retro-futuristic Y2K aesthetic. Branding appears courtesy of 991-inspired tongue tag, fuchsia and grey leather N on the lateral side, embroidered 'N' logo on the medial side, and NB on the heel. A fuchsia translucent CR heel counter sits just above the sculpted dual-density midsole featuring ABZORB and SBS cushioning. Finally the split pod outsole features a diamond pattern inspired by the 860 to finish off the heritage influence.
