New Balance injects the DNA of their signature 99X series into a brand new model, the 9060, that marries an early aughts aesthetic with modern technology. Launched with the "Inside Voices" collaboration by longtime partner Joe Freshgoods, the 9060 constructs its layered mesh and pigskin suede upper with wavy lines and dark and light tones of grey that give the shoe a sense of motion. Branding appears courtesy of 991-inspired tongue tag, grey reflective N on the lateral side and embroidered silver line N on the medial side. A translucent heel counter sits just above the sculpted dual-density midsole featuring ABZORB and SBS cushioning. Finally the split pod outsole features a diamond pattern inspired by the 860 to finish off the heritage influence.
